Dan Mckie

Dan Mckie is from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK and has been djing for around 11 years now. Starting on the local circuit, he discovered house music around 8 years ago where he start to spin at local bars and clubs such as tiger tiger, world headquarters etc etc. Currently he is living in London.

Dan then spent 3 and half years in a dj/production duo, where he produced original and remixes, with his partner, for MOS, Skint, Ovenready, Minimal, AATW, Sony/BMG, Effin/USA to name just a few. And djed in such places as Kazakhstan, Washington DC (Bi - Monthly Residency), Switzerland, Las Vegas (LVMC), Germany and also ran there own one off events in Newcastle having guests such as the Dub Pistol and Mint Royale.

Dan has just recently collaborated with Rita Campbell, Zimbardo (P&Z), Tom Kent (co-writer of My My My, Feel the Vibe), and Licious K, with many more in the pipeline.

Currently Dan has tunes signed to Full Body Sound Systems, Suburban Tracks and more worldwide. Dan is also remixing the likes of Xpress 2, Studio B, Mashtronic's, Zimbardo, on such labels as RCA/BMG, Simply Recordings, Slip & Slide, 1980 Recordings to name just a few.

Dan runs his own record label, 1980 Recordings, with 2 release’s already out from Ali Payami, Sebastian Davidson & licious K. The Label just keeps going from strength to strength with tracks from Tim Andresen, Faarsheed and Danny Armstrong scheduled.

Dan continues to remix and produce top quality house music. That’s getting support from all the big players all over the world.

Licious K

Licious K was born in 1981 and was raised in Groningen, The most northern city of The Netherlands, into a musical family. His mother, sister, uncles, aunts and grandparents all played instruments. His sister always listened Tears for Fears, New Kids on the Block and all sorts of "music", while he was playing Grand Master Flash and De La Soul as well as Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath. At the age of fourteen he bought his first turntables and pumped the stereo with bloc rocking beats. He also installed a program on his father’s computer, called Fasttracker. Now he has made music for several DVD’s, CD’s and Vinyls/mp3 downloads and remixes. Due March 2007 his new brainchild will manifest in 'Trashbunnies'.
